Setting your diamond is the exciting last step in making an engagement ring from scratch. You of course have the option to do it yourself in my workshop.
Before you set a diamond, you have to get one. I recommend one of three options:
1) I can sell conflict-free diamonds from a respected wholesaler within the industry. Diamonds over 1/2 carat come with a certificate and serial number. The price includes one year of theft insurance. Your diamond's girdle can be inscribed with a personal message up to 30 characters. My diamonds cost about 5 - 10% more than competing online retailers.
2) It is easy to buy diamonds online from major retailers like James Allen or Diamond.com. They sell diamonds at a fair price and offer full refunds if you are not happy with your diamond. In general, they a reliable source for good diamonds at market price.
3) If you prefer a brick-and-mortar store, there is no easier place than the diamond district on 47th St. between 5th & 6th. There you can look at your diamonds in person, shop around, maybe find deals, usually get ripped off. I can recommend places to go.
Diamond Specs:
When it comes to setting your diamond in our workshop, there are a few factors that are important. Round diamonds are the easiest to set. Diamonds with significantly uneven girdles will be difficult for you to set. Highly included diamonds are more likely to break while setting. Really ugly diamonds will depress me.
While the shape, size, and quality of a diamond are mostly a matter of taste, I highly recommend reading:

I also offer white, blue, yellow and pink cultured diamonds as well as Moissanite and other stones. For more information, visit the buy cultured diamonds page.
